Following the fostering of the sister school relationship with Guizhou Communication Vocational College in June last year, HKCT once again sent representatives to participate in the Guizhou-Hong Kong exchange tour organised by the Hong Kong-Guizhou Cultural Exchange Fund on March 23 this year. Not only were the participating schools arranged to reunite with their sister schools during the 5-day exchange tour, they were also arranged to visit places such as Folk Village, Qingyan Ancient Town, Gui'an Cherry Blossom Park, Balin River Guizhou Bridge Technology Museum, Guiyang Red Ribbon, Zunyi Conference Site, and Qingyun Market.
The highlight of this trip was the "Guiyang Red Ribbon" which was launched for trial operation last year. This is the first nationwide immersive digital experience hall themed on the Long March, utilising cutting-edge digital technology and audio-visual equipment from both domestic and international sources to showcase Long March culture to the world in digital language.
Recently, Guizhou has experienced rapid development in the digital economy. On top of becoming one of the regions with the most global super-large data centers, Guizhou has 19 ethnic minorities and her development in cultural heritage and conservation is also notable. This exchange tour promoted the development of education in both regions and strengthened the connection between the sister schools. In addition, the tour enhanced education sector’s understanding in the country's development, making it a meaningful experience.
