Certificate in Intelligent Construction

Introduction
As technology advances rapidly, construction professionals not only need to possess traditional project management knowledge, but also need to keep up with the times, understand and utilize the latest construction technologies to assist in completing daily duties and complex projects.
The core of intelligent construction is the application of information technology to achieve efficient, comfortable and eco-friendly construction. Intelligent construction includes: Energy management, Safety and security, Site comfort, Intelligent management, Sustainable development & application of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Contents

This course focuses on teaching students the basic knowledge of intelligent construction management and the skills of operating Building Information Modelling (BIM). BIM refers to the process of creating and managing building information throughout the design, construction, and entire lifecycle of a building or asset. Typically, this process utilizes 3D building simulation software to enhance productivity for consultants and contractors across the asset's entire lifecycle. This process creates a BIM database encompassing building geometry, spatial relationships, geographic information, quantities, and properties of building components. BIM technology leverages cutting-edge innovations to facilitate project management, construction process control, cross-disciplinary collaboration, external communication, decision-making support, and risk management.
