This course focuses on teaching students the basic knowledge of intelligent construction management and the skills of operating Building Information Modelling (BIM). BIM refers to the process of creating and managing building information throughout the design, construction, and entire lifecycle of a building or asset. Typically, this process utilizes 3D building simulation software to enhance productivity for consultants and contractors across the asset's entire lifecycle. This process creates a BIM database encompassing building geometry, spatial relationships, geographic information, quantities, and properties of building components. BIM technology leverages cutting-edge innovations to facilitate project management, construction process control, cross-disciplinary collaboration, external communication, decision-making support, and risk management.
