Professional Qualification
  • This programme is accredited by Hong Kong Institution of Incorporated Engineers (HKIIE), graduates with relevant experience are eligible to apply for Membership of HKIIE.
  • This programme is accredited by Hong Kong Institute of Clerks of Works (HKICW), graduates with relevant experience are eligible to apply for Membership of HKICW.
  • This programme is accredited by Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), graduates who fulfil specified education and professional development requirements are eligible to apply for Membership of CABE.

   

Contents
This programme provides a comprehensive training to enhance the career development in design, construction and operations aspects of civil engineering field, and particularly useful for individuals who are pursuing chartership or management level in the field.

Teaching Facilities 

Engineering & Construction Laboratory

The Engineering & Construction Laboratory is available for engineering and construction students to conduct a variety of experiments and tests. It provides equipment for material testing, structural analysis, energy efficiency evaluation, and more. Students can explore new construction design methods and concepts using different materials and technologies, and evaluate the feasibility and performance.

This 16-month part-time programme is made up of six modules with a total of 120 credits as listed below.

Entry Requirements
  • Candidates who are holding a Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent including the study of structural design and exhibit an overall average of at least 50% are eligible to apply for the course; or
  • Candidates have at least two years of relevant working experience; or
  • Candidates who have no Higher Diploma qualification may be considered on a case-to-case basis, providing they possess an equivalent academic qualification.

Extended Non-means-tested Loan Scheme

HKCT Alumni Fee Reduction*

  • Applicants who have graduated from the Centre of International Education of HKCT (CIE) and have successfully completed a one-year or longer programme within the past 3 academic years, and who have successfully enrolled in a higher-level programme provided by CIE are eligible for this benefit.
  • 3% of the total tuition fee reduction for the higher-level programme will be deducted from the final instalment of the tuition payment.

HKCT Early Bird Discount*

  • Applicants who have completed the application procedure for September intake on or before 31 July 2025 are eligible to benefit from HK$2,000 tuition fee reduction that will be deducted from the final instalment of the tuition payment. 

*Remark: Applicants are eligible for either one of HKCT Alumni Fee Reduction or Early Bird Discount. In the event of any dispute, the decision of HKCT shall be final.
