Introduction
HKCT Diploma in Information Technology Application
This programme aims to deliver basic software development and network management knowledge. It provides a solid basis for graduates to start their career or further studies. Topics will cover web and mobile applications development, network and system management techniques.
Contents

Programme Features

  • This programme covers mobile and web applications development, network management and system maintenance techniques. Students can learn the skillset required for an application developer or network management personnel
  • Both theories and practical know-how are emphasized. Assessments are mainly in the form of practical asignments and projects.

Graduation Path
  • Graduates can apply for a $10,000 Internal Student Articulation Scholarship to further study in the Higher Diploma in Computer Studies (Mobile Applications and Game Development)*, followed by a bachelor degree in related disciplines. (The bachelor degree programmes can be completed within a year.)
  • Graduates can join the field of information technology as a Junior Programmer, Web-site support, IT Support, Technical Assistant (Network Administration), Mobile Apps Developer, etc. 

*This programme (non-laboratory-based) is subsidised under Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP). In the 2022/23 academic year, a subsidy of up to $22,120 per academic year will be provided to each eligible local student.

Entry Requirements
  • Attained 5 passes in HKCEE including Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B; or Grade C or above in Syllabus A); or
  • Attained 3 passes in HKCEE plus level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language; or
  • Holder of Project Yi Jin / Associate Diploma; or
  • Completion of SS3 / Form 6 under the New Senior Secondary curriculum; or
  • Completion of SS3 / Form 5 with 1 year IT related working experience; or
  • Mature students of age 21 or above; or
  • Equivalent qualifications; and
  • Pass the admission interview.

Total $36,220 (in 16 installments)
