The BSc (Hons) Facilities Management part-time degree programme is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of key principles and practical skills in facilities and property management, including building development, maintenance management, health and safety, and sustainable business practices.
The Facilities Management Degree programme provides a structured pathway for career progression within estates and property management, equipping students for professional accreditation and management-level positions, while establishing a strong foundation for lifelong learning, leadership, and professional excellence in the sector.
Articulation Path
Bachelor's degree holders of Facilities Management may progress to the MSc Construction Project Management* (Reg. No.: 252849) awarded by the University of Lancashire, UK, or other relevant postgraduate programmes. Further study deepens expertise in project management, building operations, sustainability, and leadership, supporting career advancement towards senior management roles in facilities and property management.
Graduates have laid a solid foundation for achieving professional qualifications, such as Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), as highlighted by alumni who successfully pursued higher-level professional recognition after completing the programme.

Graduates of the BSc (Hons) Facilities Management part-time degree programme are well-equipped for roles such as facilities manager, property manager, building operations manager, maintenance manager, and project supervisor in sectors including residential and commercial estates, property management companies, hospitality, hospitals, and institutions.
The curriculum covers practical aspects directly related to daily work—building maintenance, sustainability, health and safety, and business operations—enabling graduates to respond to the evolving demands of Hong Kong’s estates and facilities sector. In this Facilities Management part-time degree programme, students have to complete 6 taught modules and a dissertation in 4 semesters. The minimum length of study is 15 months and the maximum length of study for this programme is 30 months.
